My approach to sculpture is subjected entirely to the wisdom of the touch;
I allow an artefact to emerge to life unexpectedly, rather then desiring, planning, drawing or envisaging the endless variety of the possible appearances prior to the process of its creation.
My preferred way of expression is therefore clay or a similar material, which enables quick and easy development of three dimensional forms that usually grow out of a mass of clay, forming lines, patterns, shadows and its compatible shapes.
Eventually, when all that has been disturbing my vision has been carefully removed; generally remains that which has the power to delight my sight. It is this created movement, that I call;
The pleasures of light.
